The Language Thread

I just came up with a funny idea, since at least some of us are from different countries and speaks different languages.

I'll type a (common) word in English and the Swedish translation of that word and then the next guy types the same word in her/his language and then also gives a new word, with both translations. Did you follow?

Like this:
English: Thank you.
Swedish: Tack.

And then the reply would be:
French: Merci

And also in the reply a new word will be given by the one who replies. If you like to you can always write a sentence instead of a word. Of course more than one person can reply to a specific post, as long as every new reply has a new language.

This way we all could learn something in other languages.. Anyone wanna play? affraid

cantonese/traditional chinese(Hong Kong) : 酒

new word: hello (english)
cantonese/traditional chinese : 你好(lay ho) 嗨 (hi)

Sing = chante (french), to sing = chanter, a song = une chanson ...
